Application Support Center Assistance

Thank You!

Thank you for partnering with GPCT to provide emergency energy assistance to households in Connecticut that are facing a financial crisis.

Key Reminders and Requirements

Generation Power CT’s emergency energy assistance programs require proof of gross household income. GPCT assistance grants are not an entitlement to all Connecticut residents who fall within income guidelines.

  • Applicants are required to submit documentation showing income for all household members age 21 and older for the four (4) weeks prior to the application date.
  • If the household member is currently employed, paystubs showing recipient, pay period, and gross income should be submitted for (4) weeks.
  • If the household member receives a monthly benefit, such as social security of pension, please submit the most current document showing the monthly benefit amount for the current calendar year, including the cost of living adjustment (COLA).
  • If the household receives CT Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) in the current program year or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), they have categorical eligibility, and will not be required to submit proof of individual household member income.
  • Reminder: Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is not Social Security Income.
  • Adults 21 and older without income documentation for the past four (4) weeks may attest to that by downloading the corresponding GPCT form and uploadinas proof of income for that household member.

Note: GPCT will provide notice of application decision via email only. If an application is determined to be incomplete, the client or ASC will be required to login to update missing information by established timeline. If the application is incomplete after the established deadline, the application may be denied and the household may re-apply in a future application cycle.

I highly appreciate [GPCT] for helping me and my daughter when I was hospitalized and didn’t have enough money to fuel up with oil. Thank you for keeping us warm! D.K. – A client from South Windsor
