As we celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2027, we are evolving to become a stronger, more impactful organization, blending our foundational commitment to service with forward-looking strategies that aim to empower.
Our strategic plan includes six overarching goals, with identified strategic objectives for each. As you review this plan, we invite you to partner with us as we aim to ensure that everyone thrives with secure access to heat, power, and water.
Key Board Responsibilities
- Strategic Direction & Governance: Setting GPCT’s mission and ensuring the board has the necessary skills and capacities to govern.
- Financial Oversight: Managing the organization’s fiscal health, overseeing audits, and directing fundraising and donor cultivation efforts.
- Policy & Advocacy: Overseeing policy priorities based on data to protect vulnerable communities, including working with out utility partners, legislators, the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA), and other agencies to prevent service shutoffs and increase access to energy programs.
- Operational Support: Supporting the implementation of emergency energy assistance programs that provide grants to households at or below 75% of the state median income.
- Public Representation: Acting as stewards of the organization’s mission to ensure safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.
