OUR POLICY PRIORITIES
- Building support for emergency energy assistance funding
- Protecting medically vulnerable ratepayers from service termination
- Providing incentives for low-and moderate-income customers to access energy efficiency services
- Improving accessibility to state and federally funded weatherization and remediation services
- Expanding access for low- and moderate-income ratepayers to shared solar subscriptions

Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA)
Generation Power CT advocates at PURA, sharing our experience providing emergency assistance to thousands of CT residents each year. Some of our priority issues include increasing awareness of medical protections, shutoff prevention, increasing access to shared solar power, and accessible and affordable payment plans.

Community Engagement and Research Fuel Our Advocacy
Understanding the specific challenges that our neighbors face is key to helping them in meaningful ways. That’s why Generation Power CT is dedicated to pursuing community-forward research across Connecticut to understand how energy burden impacts residents.

“When I received the notice from Generation Power CT that they would cover my entire electric bill, I broke down in tears. I cried because, in that moment, I felt hope. It gave me the chance to breathe, even just for a moment, it means so much to me.“ -A Client Testimony
