OUR POLICY PRIORITIES
Our goal is to make sure everyone in Connecticut has secure access to heat, power, and water.
- Increase funding for emergency assistance programs
- Protect medically vulnerable families from utility shutoff
- Support ratepayers seeking affordable payment plans
- Educate limited-income Connecticut residents about energy efficiency services
- Connect clients to weatherization and home remediation services
- Expand access to solar energy

Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) Engagement
Generation Power CT advocates at PURA, sharing our experience providing emergency assistance to thousands of CT residents each year. Some of our priority issues include increasing awareness of medical protections, shutoff prevention, increasing access to shared solar power, and accessible and affordable payment plans.

Community Engagement and Research Fuel Our Advocacy
Understanding the specific challenges that our neighbors face is key to helping them in meaningful ways. That’s why Generation Power CT is dedicated to pursuing community-forward research across Connecticut to understand how energy burden impacts residents.

“When I received the notice from Generation Power CT that they would cover my entire electric bill, I broke down in tears. I cried because, in that moment, I felt hope. It gave me the chance to breathe, even just for a moment, it means so much to me.“ -A Client Testimonial
