The Utility Assistance Fund provides flexible, donor-driven support to families across Connecticut facing energy insecurity by covering urgent needs like fuel delivery and utility bill assistance. It also sustains vital infrastructure, such as staff who guide clients through applications, support center fees, and the systems that power our client application and payment processes, ensuring help is delivered quickly and effectively. Unlike restricted grants, this fund fills critical gaps where other funding falls short, helping keep homes warm in winter and cool in summer, preventing utility shut-offs that disrupt work, school, and medical care, and offering families stability and dignity during times of crisis.
